This wonderful palomino sabino (turned grey) mare was an exceptional broodmare at Daventry Equestrian. She produced eight foals by Alvesta Picasso, all sabino with white socks and a blaze. Her son, Offside, finished off the 2009 show season as the WPCSC Canadian National Champion Junior English Pleasure and Reserve Canadian National Championships in Section B Gelding 3 & Over, Junior Hunter and Junior Western Pleasure. Her 2010 foal, Daventry's Power Play, was the 2010 Canadian National Champion 2 & Under Section B Welsh Colt!
Flirt's sire has produced several successful pony hunters down in the US. Among them, Dreamworks, Bear Necessities and Top Zone 9 medium pony, Butterscotch Sundae. Flirt's full sister has produced two successful foals by Alvesta Picasso, Jumpin' Jack Flash and Glannant Jackpot, who are both successful pony hunters down on the US East Coast circuit. Flirt's dam is by the famous GlanNant Tango, who is no stranger to the USEF Leading Pony Hunter Sire List.
Flirt is one of the best mover we've ever had. She had a gorgeous 'warmblood type' trot, an ample canter stride and showed top hunter form over fences. She had a pocket pony attitude, was eager to learn and had the most wonderful temperament that was always been passed down to her foals - we could not have asked for a better broodmare! She was EXCELLENT to clip, bath, pull mane, haul and didn't have a complicated bone in her body! Her foals sold in the mid to high four figures and her 2011 colt sold at just 3 days old.
Flirt's 2006 colt, Daventry's Breakaway is a multiple Grand Champion and the 2007 Alberta Champion Section B Welsh Gelding 2 & Under. He is now pursuing a Pony Hunter career in New Hampshire. Flirt's 2007 colt, also by Alvesta Picasso, has also gone on to win successfully in the show ring, winning Reserve Champion of the Alberta Section B Weanling Futurity and 2007 Alberta Reserve Champion Section B Welsh Colt 2 & Under. Her 2009 filly finished 4th Nationally in Canada.
