 This wonderful sport pony colt is by our stallion Alvesta Picasso. Simon is very typey through the head and has an amazing trot. His full brother Offside is a multiple Canadian National and Supreme Champion Gelding on the Welsh Pony circuit.
This colt comes from a long line of successful hunter ponies. His full brothers in blood, Jumpin' Jack Flash and Glannant Jackpot, are successful pony hunters down on the US East Coast hunter circuit and his half-brother, The Sundance Kid, is pursuing a pony hunter career in Virginia.
Simon's sire, Alvesta Picasso, has been on the USEF Leading Pony Hunter Sire List for seven consecutive years, was named the 2009 WPCSC Leading Section B Welsh Pony Sire and is Farnley Lustre bred. His dam, Pajon's Royal Flirt, is by the imported *Rosedale Royal Flare, who has produced several successful pony hunters down in the US. Among them, Dreamworks, Bear Necessities and Top Zone 9 medium pony, Butterscotch Sundae.
Simon started his halter show career in July of 2006 and was named Double Champion Junior Section B Colt and then went on to beat his sire, Picasso, for Grand Champion Section B Stallion at only two months of age. He has since gone on to win Grand or Reserve Grand Chanmpion every time out. He has been professionally halter trained and has impeccable manners both in and out of the show ring. Simon will be part of our 2007 Show String but is available for purchase to a competitive show home. Simon is nominated to the 2007 Alberta Welsh Yearling Futurity and is also eligible for our yearly Foal Incentive Program.
